This 2011 BMW 1M is one of 983 cars delivered to North America during the model’s single-year production run and was initially delivered to Competition BMW of Smithtown in Saint James, New York, prior to the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2023. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-six linked with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential and is finished in Alpine White over black Boston leather upholstery. The car was optioned with the Premium and Convenience Packages as well as 19″ Style 359M alloy wheels, xenon headlights, rear Park Distance Control, heated power-adjustable front sport seats, navigation, and a Harman Kardon surround-sound system. A June 2023 service consisted of fluid changes in addition to replacing the valve cover gasket, brake rotors and pads, thermostat, water pump, spark plugs, and ignition coils. This 1M has 71k miles and is now offered in Connecticut by the selling dealer with the owner’s manual, a window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New York title.
The car is finished in Alpine White and has model-specific bumper covers, side skirts, flared fenders, and quad exhaust outlets. Additional details include xenon headlights, rain-sensing wipers, rear parking sensors, a trunk lip spoiler, and LED taillights. Paint chips are visible on the front bumper cover, the underside of which is scratched.
The 19″ Style 359M alloy wheels are mounted with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 tires measuring 245/35 up front and 265/35 at the rear. The 1M utilizes suspension and braking components sourced from the contemporary M3 and features Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with M Dynamic Mode (MDM) as well as Dynamic Brake Control. Stopping power is from cross-drilled and ventilated rotors at each corner. Replacement brake rotors, pads, and wear sensors were fitted in June 2023.
The heated power-adjustable front sport seats are upholstered in black Boston leather with orange contrast stitching, while Alcantara upholstery accents the shift boot, doors, and dashboard. Rubberized floor mats line the footwells, and additional appointments include iDrive infotainment with navigation, a Harman Kardon surround-sound system, a CD stereo, and dual-zone automatic climate control. A tear is noted near a rear headrest.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline as well as gauges for fuel level and oil temperature. The digital odometer indicates just under 71k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership.
The twin-turbocharged 3.0L N54B30 inline-six was factory rated at 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, with an overboost function allowing for an additional 37 lb-ft of torque in short bursts. Work in June 2023 included flushing the coolant, changing the oil, and replacing the valve cover gasket, spark plugs, thermostat, water pump, and ignition coils.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a Variable M Differential Lock. The differential fluid was replaced in June 2023, and additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Competition BMW of Smithtown in Saint James, New York, along with factory colors, equipment, options, and a total suggested retail price of $53,735.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in New York and Connecticut.
