Doug's Take
The BMW 1M is an excellent performance car, and it's one of my favorite cars from this era: I love the small sizing, the dynamic feel, and the rarity factor. In fact, BMW sold less than 1,000 units in North America, making the 1M especially uncommon. This particular 1M is finished in head-turning Valencia Orange, and it features some great equipment like 19-inch Style 359M wheels, a limited-slip differential, adaptive xenon headlights, Boston leather upholstery, heated front sport seats, and Alcantara interior trim. It also received a rejuvenation by EAG in 2017, it touts very low mileage, and it's completely unmodified – all excellent benefits. To top it off, this 1M comes with a clean, accident-free Carfax report, for added buyer confidence.
Highlights
THIS... is a 2011 BMW 1M, finished in Valencia Orange with a black interior.
- The odometer on this 1M indicates about 10,600 miles.
- The attached Carfax history report shows no accidents or mileage discrepancies in this BMW's past.
- According to a build sheet provided in the gallery, factory equipment includes 19-inch Style 359M wheels, a limited-slip differential, adaptive xenon headlights, Boston leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front sport seats, anthracite Alcantara interior trim, a navigation system, and more as detailed below. The seller reports no modifications.
- Prior to its current ownership, this 1M received a rejuvenation by Enthusiast Auto Group in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- The M version of BMW's 1 Series coupe, called E82 internally, was intended to be a limited-production model but it proved popular enough to warrant tripling the original production quota to just over 6,300 units. Its turbocharged engine was a polarizing departure from previous M cars, as was its funky styling — and yet, the 1M has gained a substantial and loyal following since production ended in 2012.
- Power comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged N54 inline-6, rated at 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
