Seller Description

This 2011 BMW 1M is one of 983 examples delivered to the North American market during the model’s single-year production run. The car is finished in Alpine White over black Boston leather with orange stitching, and power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-six paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes the Convenience and Premium packages, a Harman Kardon audio system, navigation, Park Distance Control, and 19″ wheels. The mid-pipe was replaced during previous ownership, and additional modifications consist of a Revozport rear diffuser, a carbon-fiber rear spoiler, KW adjustable coilovers, and European-style headlights. The car was initially sold by Shelly BMW of Buena Park, California, and was acquired by the seller from the original owner in 2015. This 1M now has 31k miles and is offered with a window sticker, service records, two keys, removed parts, a KW toolkit, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

Production of the 1M was limited to one year only, and this example is one of just 326 finished in Alpine White (300) for the North American market. The 1M was visually distinguished from standard 1-series cars with flared fenders, unique front and rear styling, and four exhaust exits. Equipment includes gloss black Shadowline trim, Park Distance Control, and European-style xenon headlights with washers. Black kidney grille surrounds, a carbon-fiber rear spoiler, and a Revozsport rear diffuser are installed. The removed kidney grilles along with two removed front lip spoilers are included in the sale. Photos of the front spoilers on the car can be viewed in the gallery below. The Carfax report shows a damage report in January 2012, with a photo of the damage included in the gallery.

Silver 19” Style 359 wheels wear 245/35 front and 265/35 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Stopping power comes from ventilated and cross-drilled discs at all corners, and an adjustable KW coilover suspension system is installed. An adjustment tool and removed suspension components are included in the sale. The power steering fluid was replaced in 2020, while the brake fluid was flushed in April 2021.

The cockpit is upholstered in black Boston leather with orange contrast stitching as well as Alcantara accents on the shift boot, doors, and dashboard. Features include navigation, a CD stereo with a Harmon Kardon audio system, power-adjustable sport seats, and automatic climate control.

The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel wears tri-color stitching and fronts a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline, a digital information display, and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The odometer indicates 31k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added by the seller.

The twin-turbocharged 3.0L N54 inline-six was factory rated at 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, with an overboost function allowing for an additional 37 lb-ft of torque in short bursts. An oil change was performed in April 2021.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller states that an N55-sourced midpipe exhaust section without secondary catalytic converters has been installed during previous ownership. The removed exhaust component is included in the sale and is pictured below.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Shelly BMW of Buena Park, California, and lists equipment, colors, options, and a suggested retail price of $53,285. Service records and removed parts will also accompany the car.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage report and lists history in California. The car most recently passed a CA emissions test in May 2021.
