Seller Description

This 2011 BMW 1M is a Canadian-market example and one of approximately 983 cars built for the North American market during a single year of production. Finished in Alpine White over black leather, the car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0L N54 inline-six paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes adaptive xenon headlights, 19″ wheels, heated front sport seats, Comfort Access, Park Distance Control, navigation, and Harman Kardon audio. The car has been registered since new in Quebec, where it was acquired by the seller in August 2020. Modifications reportedly include a VRSF charge pipe, secondary cat delete, an Akrapovic exhaust, an M Performance Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, and a ZHP shift knob. Service under current ownership has included replacing the clutch and flywheel, spark plugs and ignition coils, brakes, and tires. This 1M indicates 92k kilometers (~57k miles) and is now offered in Canada with removed parts, service records, a Carfax report, and Quebec registration.

Production of the 1M was limited to one year only, and this example is one of 326 finished in Alpine White (300) for the North American market. Compared to the standard 1-Series, the 1M is distinguished by a lower ride height, unique bumper covers and side skirts, and a quad-exit exhaust system. Equipment includes rear Park Distance Control, adaptive xenon headlights, comfort access, black kidney grilles, black IND side markers, and an M Performance carbon-fiber rear decklid spoiler. The car is said to have Xpel paint protection film on the front, hood, and fenders. The Carfax report lists an accident report in October 2017 and again in July 2021. The seller states that the rear bumper cover was repainted under current ownership and that the rear passenger-side fender was repaired in 2017. A photo showing damage from 2017 is presented in the gallery below.

Factory 19″ wheels are mounted with 245/35 front and 265/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires, which were installed in 2021. The seller states that the wheels have been refinished, and service under current ownership has included replacing the brake pads and rotors as well as installing stainless steel brake lines. The 1M utilizes braking, rear subframe, and suspension components from the contemporary M3.

The cabin is trimmed in black Boston leather with deviated orange stitching and Alcantara accents on the door panels, emergency brake and shifter boots, and dashboard. Amenities include heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Harman Kardon audio, navigation, and a ZHP shift knob. A USB/AUX to USB-C adapter is included in the sale. An airbag recall was performed in 2019.

The Alcantara-wrapped M Performance steering wheel features tri-color stitching and a blue centering stripe. Instrumentation consists of a 300-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline. The digital odometer indicates 92k kilometers (~57k miles), approximately 8k kilometers of which were added during current ownership.

The twin-turbocharged 3.0L N54 inline-six produced 335 horsepower at 5,800 rpm and 370 lb-ft of torque at 1,500 rpm when new. Service under current ownership has included replacing the spark plugs and coils along with the air filters. Modifications reportedly include a VRSF charge pipe, a Turbosmart Kompact Dual Port blow-off valve, and a Burger Motorsports dual catch can as well as removal of the secondary catalytic converters. The seller states the battery was replaced in August 2020.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. The clutch and flywheel were replaced under current ownership. Modifications include a secondary cat delete and an Akrapovic slip-on titanium exhaust system with carbon-fiber tips.

The removed steering wheel, side markers, and shift knob are included in the sale along with an Akrapovic valve exhaust sound kit, M Performance carbon-fiber mirror caps, two replacement BMW boost solenoid valves, and a PCV valve.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage reports as well as registration history in Quebec.
