This 2011 BMW 1M is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over black Boston leather and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-six paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. It was sold new in Ontario, Canada, and was relocated to British Columbia by the second owner in December 2014. The car is equipped with a Harman Kardon sound system, navigation, iDrive system, and a multi-function steering wheel. Now showing 79k kilometers (49k miles), this 1M is being offered by the selling dealer with partial service records, a Carfax report, and current British Columbia registration.
The Black Sapphire Metallic (475) paint was a $550 option and is shown up close in gallery photographs below. The Carfax report lists an accident in August 2011 with an associated insurance claim amount of $750 CAD. The driver side and most of the passenger side were reportedly repainted under previous ownership, and the forward facing surfaces including the windshield are said to show some chips.
The 1M is distinguished from the standard 1-Series with flared fenders, unique bumpers and side skirts, a quad-exit exhaust system, M3-style side-view mirrors, and Style 359 19″ split-spoke alloy wheels. It also utilizes the brakes, limited-slip differential, and the rear subframe and suspension components from the contemporary M3. The wheels currently wear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, though the seller notes that a new set of Continental rear tires will be included in the sale. The front rotors and brake pads are said to need replacement.
The interior is trimmed in black Boston leather with deviated orange stitching and Alcantara accents on the door panels, emergency brake and shifter boots, instrument binnacle, and dashboard. An Anthracite headliner is also fitted, and the 1M was not offered with a sunroof.
Harman Kardon surround sound is equipped and includes satellite radio capability and an auxiliary input. The factory navigation and infotainment are controlled through the iDrive system. The digital odometer indicates just under 79k kilometers (49k miles).
Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.0L N54 inline-six mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a standard limited-slip differential. Factory power ratings were 335 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque, and 0-60 times of 4.5 seconds were achieved in contemporary testing.
Recent maintenance included an oil/filter change in February 2019, and the brake fluid, cabin filter, and air filter were replaced after an inspection in May 2019. Service records from December 2014 to the present are included.
