Doug's Take
The BMW 1M is a fantastic sports coupe, and it's one of my very favorite cars from this era: I love the sizing, I love the performance, and I love the rarity. In fact, BMW sold fewer than 1,000 of these in North America, making them particularly uncommon. This particular 1M is finished in handsome Black Sapphire Metallic, and it features some great equipment like 19-inch Style 359M wheels, an M-specific suspension system, an M-specific body kit, adaptive xenon headlights, and heated front sport seats. It also has no major modifications and low indicated mileage – AND it's offered with a clean, accident-free Carfax report, for added peace of mind.
Highlights
THIS... is a 2011 BMW 1M, finished in Black Sapphire Metallic with a black interior.
- This is a Canadian-spec example that's registered and located in Duncan, BC, Canada. The odometer reads in metric units and indicates approximately 64,100 kilometers or roughly 39,800 miles.
- The attached Carfax history report lists no accidents or mileage inconsistencies in this BMW's past.
- Factory equipment includes 19-inch Style 359M wheels, an M-specific suspension system, an M-specific body kit, Shadowline exterior trim, adaptive xenon headlights, Comfort Access keyless entry, Boston leather upholstery with orange stitching, heated and power-adjustable front sport seats, and more as detailed below. Modifications reported by the seller are limited to Turner Motorsport aluminum pedals.
- The M version of BMW's 1 Series coupe, called E82 internally, was intended to be a limited-production model but it proved popular enough to warrant tripling the original production quota to just over 6,300 units. Its turbocharged engine was a polarizing departure from previous M cars, as was its funky styling — and yet, the 1M has gained a substantial and loyal following since production ended in 2012.
- Power comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-6, rated at 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Called N54T internally, output is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
