Seller Description

Doug's Take

The BMW 1M is an excellent sports car, and it's one of my favorite cars from this era: I love the small sizing, the performance, and the rarity factor. In fact, BMW sold less than 1,000 units in North America, making the 1M especially uncommon. This particular 1M is finished in handsome Black Sapphire Metallic, and it features some great equipment like the Premium and Convenience packages, 19-inch Style 359M wheels, an M differential lock, M-specific suspension system, Shadowline exterior trim, heated front seats, a Harman/Kardon surround sound system, and more. It also touts no major modifications and low indicated mileage – and it's offered with a clean, accident-free Carfax report, for added peace of mind.

Highlights

THIS... is a 2011 BMW 1M, finished in Black Sapphire Metallic with a black interior.

  • This 1M features the desirable 6-speed manual transmission, and the odometer currently displays about 16,000 miles.
  • The attached Carfax history report lists no accidents or mileage discrepancies in this BMW's past.
  • According to the window sticker provided in the gallery, this 1M had an original MSRP of $54,635 when new. Factory equipment includes the Premium and Convenience packages, 19-inch Style 359M wheels, an M differential lock and M-specific suspension system, Shadowline exterior trim, Boston leather upholstery with orange stitching, heated front seats, a Harman/Kardon surround sound system, and more as reported below.
  • Modifications reported by the seller are limited to a ceramic window tint and paint protection film on the front end, mirror caps, quarter panels, and under the trunk latch, and a scrape guard under the front bumper.
  • The M version of BMW's 1 Series coupe, called E82 internally, was intended to be a limited-production model but it proved popular enough to warrant tripling the original production quota to just over 6,300 units. Its turbocharged engine was a polarizing departure from previous M cars, as was its funky styling — and yet, the 1M has gained a substantial and loyal following since production ended in 2012.
  • Power comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-6, rated at 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Called N54T internally, output is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.

Equipment

A window sticker is pictured in the gallery, and a partial list of notable equipment includes:

  • 19-inch Style 359M wheels

  • Shadowline exterior trim
  • Xenon headlights
  • Boston leather upholstery with orange stitching
  • Heated front seats
  • Alcantara upholstery on the dashboard
