Doug's Take
The BMW 1M is one of my very favorite cars from this era, and in particular this color is exceptionally special. BMW didn't expect this car to be a hit, but it was, with nice examples routinely trading at or above MSRP for years after they left the market. BMW sold fewer than 1,000 of these in North America (with a reported 740 in the USA), making them particularly rare in our market -- and these are fantastic cars with a wonderful driving experience, exceptional handling, and potent power (if you can find one to buy!). This particular 1M also boasts some nice Dinan upgrades to enhance the driving experience further, and a clean, accident-free Carfax report is a cherry on top.

Highlights
THIS... is a 2011 BMW 1M Coupe, finished in Valencia Orange with a black leather interior.

• The attached Carfax history report indicates no accidents or mileage discrepancies.
• Equipment includes the Premium and Convenience packages, 19-inch M light alloy wheels, adaptive Xenon headlamps, high-gloss Shadowline trim, Boston leather upholstery, heated front sport seats, a Harman/Kardon surround sound system, and more as detailed below.
• Modifications reported by the seller include a Dinan stage 3 tune (Dinan intercooler, oil cooler, larger air intake, and reversible ECU remap), paint protection film applied to the front of the car, and a K40 radar detector.
• BMW's parts-bin offering, known as the E82 internally, was intended to be a limited-production model, but proved popular enough to warrant tripling the original production quota to just over 6,300 units. Its turbocharged engine was a polarizing departure from previous M cars, as was its funky styling — though the car has gained a substantial and loyal following since production ended in 2012.
• Power comes from an "N54" 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6, rated at 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque in stock form. This engine may be making more power as a result of the Dinan tune, but a dyno sheet is not available. Output is shuttled to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission.

Recent Service History
The seller has a PDF document of all service records dating back to the car's original purchase. Included invoices in the gallery indicate the following maintenance has been performed:

• September 2020 (72,912 miles): Tire replaced, brake fluid flushed, cabin filter changed, engine oil changed, front and rear brake pads replaced, brake wear sensor replaced, new coolant expansion tank installed, battery replaced
• May 2020 (72,146 miles): Inlet charge pipe replaced, tire replaced
• February 2020: Stage 3 Dinan tune (cold-air intake, oil cooler, intercooler, ECU tune) installed by dealer
• October 2019 (71,110): 2 new tires installed
