This 2011 BMW 1M was sold new by BMW of El Cajon, California as part of the European delivery program and acquired by the seller approximately eight years ago. The car is finished in white over black leather and powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Dinan upgrades consist of a Stage 2 tune, a front sway bar, and coilovers, and additional equipment includes an ActivE hood, Schroth harnesses, 19″ wheels, automatic climate control, adaptive headlights, and a Hi-Fi audio system. Now showing 68k miles, this 1M was displayed at BMW CCA’s PASSION: 50 Years of BMW Cars exhibit in 2019, was featured on the cover of the exhibit’s hard-copy book, and is offered with corresponding documentation and accessories, the removed factory hood and suspension, a trickle charger, multiple sets of floor mats, two key fobs, manufacturer’s literature, service records from current ownership, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The 1M was distinguished from the standard 1-Series by unique bumpers and side skirts, wider fender flares, a quad-exit exhaust system, and M3-style mirrors. This example is finished in Alpine White III (300), and features an ActivE hood added under current ownership as well as an M Power windshield banner. Silver-finished 19” Style 359 wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The brakes and rear subframe were shared with the contemporary M3, and the car features a Dinan front sway bar and Dinan coilovers that were fitted under current ownership. The removed suspension components accompany the vehicle, and a brake fluid flush was performed in preparation for the sale.
The cabin features manually-adjustable sport seats trimmed in black leather with orange deviated stitching and a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Schroth harnesses have been fitted, and amenities include automatic climate control, adaptive headlights, cruise control, and a Hi-Fi audio system with an in-dash CD player. The cabin air filter was replaced in preparation for the sale, and a set of Coco floor mats, M-branded floor mats, two sets of rubber floor mats, and a set of BMW window screens accompany the car.
The multi-function steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature. The odometer indicates just over 68k miles, around 49k of which were added by the seller.
The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter N54 inline-six was factory-rated at 335 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and factory limited-slip differential. The engine has been modified with Dinan Stage 2 software, and the seller reports that an oil change was recently performed.
