2011 BMW 1-Series M Coupe in Valencia Orange Metallic over Black Boston Leather with Orange Stitching
  • Exterior Color Valencia Orange Metallic

Seller Description

This 2011 BMW 1M is believed to be the first customer-delivered example for the US market. It is finished in Valencia Orange over Black Boston leather and shows 52,150 miles. The car was reportedly purchased new and regularly serviced at Towne BMW in New York by its original owner. The seller purchased the car from the original owner in August 2017, and used the vehicle personally as well as to help launch his sports car-share business. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged N54 3.0-liter inline-six which is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. Factory options include the Premium Package and heated front seats. The vehicle is reportedly stock aside from wiring for a radar detector and a suction cup dashboard mount. This 1M is now being offered with its original window sticker, recent service receipts, a clean Carfax, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s business name.

Valencia Orange Metallic (B44) was an optional color, and the seller states that this particular 1M retains its factory finish. The included Carfax is free of accident or damage reports. Several paint chips are present on the nose, which were touched-up by the original owner with darker-than-stock paint as detailed in the photo gallery.

The 1M is distinguished from the standard 1 Series with flared fenders, unique bumpers and side skirts, a quad-exit exhaust system, M3-style side-view mirrors, and 19″ split-spoke alloy wheels. It also utilizes the brakes, limited-slip differential, aluminum dampers, and the rear subframe and suspension components from the contemporary M3. A set of 245/35 front and 265/35 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires are currently mounted.

The interior is trimmed in black Boston leather with deviated orange stitching and Alcantara accents on the door panels, emergency brake and shifter boots, and dashboard. An Anthracite headliner is also fitted, and the 1M was not offered with a sunroof. This particular car is optioned with heated front seats and the Premium Package, which includes power-folding side mirrors, auto-dimming mirrors, power front seats, lumbar support, ambiance lighting, an iPod/USB adapter, and BMW Assist with Bluetooth.

Additional equipment includes xenon headlamps, a CD stereo, automatic climate control with A/C, and fold-down rear seats. Currently the digital odometer shows 52,150 miles, over 3k of which have been added since the seller’s purchase a year ago. The car was driven by the seller himself, along with six other members of his car club.

Under the hood is an N54 twin-turbo 3.0-liter six, which produced 335 horsepower at 5,800 rpm and 370 lb-ft of torque at 1,500 rpm when new. Power is sent through a 6-speed manual gearbox, and a limited-slip differential was standard. During period testing the 1M accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The most recent oil change was completed in April 2018 at 50,590 miles. Invoices for a general inspection and fluid service at BMW of Fairfax shortly after the seller’s purchase and the recent oil change accompany the sale, and are also shown in the gallery.

The original window sticker shows all aforementioned factory options along with a total MSRP of $50,460.

The accident-free Carfax shows three owners since the seller re-titled the car in his business name about a month after acquiring it from the original owner. New York and Virginia registration is recorded from new, along with several service history records.
