This 2011 BMW 1M has fewer than 15k miles and is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over a black leather interior with contrasting orange stitching. The car was acquired from an allocation through Rallye BMW in Westbury, New York and delivered new to the current owner by CO’s BMW in Loveland, Colorado. Factory options include Harmon Kardon surround sound, navigation, rain sensing wipers, xenon headlights and more. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged N54 inline-six paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Regular servicing has reportedly been conducted since new by BMW dealerships, including frequent oil changes, brake fluid flushes, and replacement of transmission and differential fluids. In 2012, the car received a first-place award at the 29th Annual Exotic Sports Car Show and Concours D’ Elegance in Littleton, Colorado. This 1M Coupe is now offered by the selling dealer on consignment from the original owner with a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name. Also included with the sale are a Carfax, a fleece car cover, a BMW designer’s rendering, a Mini Champs model, service records, two key fobs, all owner’s books, extra new floor mats, the original purchase sticker, and a bottle of Pyrat Rum.
Black Sapphire Metallic (475) was a $550 option, and the seller states that the car has received no paintwork. Forward surfaces are protected with a clear 3M stone guard, and a few small scuffs in the stone guard are noted around the lower air dam and pointed out in the video below.
The 19″ alloy wheels show two small curb scratches and are equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport tires measuring 245/35 up front and 265/35 out back. Front and rear fascias were unique to the 1M, and adaptive Xenon headlights with washers and rain-sensing wipers were standard. The car is described as stock, and is one of 983 M Coupes produced and one of 222 delivered in Black.
The interior is trimmed in black Boston leather with contrasting orange stitching, and features an Alcantara headliner and accents on the shift boot, doors, and dash. Harman Kardon surround sound is equipped and includes satellite radio capability and an auxiliary input. The factory navigation and infotainment system are controlled through the iDrive system. Note the US-market factory cup holder.
The 1M’s heated Sport seats are manually adjustable to keep weight in check, and the carpets and leather upholstery show little wear. Extra sets of orange stitched 1M carpet and rubber all weather floor mats are included in the original packaging. The odometer shows 14,820 miles, all of which have been driven by the current owner.
Power comes from a twin-turbocharged N54 3.0 liter inline-six paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Factory power ratings were 335 horsepower at 5900 rpm and 370 lb-ft of torque when new and a limited-slip differential was standard. 0-60 times of 4.5 seconds were achieved in contemporary testing. The seller states that the car has been serviced exclusively at BMW dealerships over its lifetime, and records show regular replacement of the oil, brake fluid, and transmission and differential fluids.
